PREFECTORIAL SYSTEM

At Guru Nanak Public School, the prefectorial system plays a vital role in fostering leadership, responsibility, and self-governance among students. This structured student leadership model empowers learners to take active roles in school administration and discipline. Led by the School Head Boy and Head Girl, along with Discipline Incharges, the student prefects are entrusted with various responsibilities that contribute to the smooth functioning of school life. The system not only develops leadership qualities but also encourages accountability and teamwork. In addition, the House System—guided by House Captains and Prefects—offers a supportive peer environment that promotes healthy competition, unity, and a strong sense of belonging. Through this structure, students learn the values of cooperation, respect, and school spirit.

MATHEMATICS LAB

In today’s era of rapid knowledge expansion and technological advancement, a strong foundation in Mathematics is essential. At Guru Nanak Public School, we recognize the importance of combining theoretical learning with practical application from an early stage. To support this approach, a well-equipped Mathematics Laboratory has been established, featuring modern tools and apparatus. INTER HOUSE ACTIVITIES

The House System plays a key role in shaping students' personalities and fostering a spirit of teamwork and leadership. All students, both boys and girls, are divided into four houses: Beas, Chenab, Ravi, and Sutlej. Each house is led by a House Incharge, supported by House Captains and Vice Captains, with a team of Prefects taking on various responsibilities. Inter-house competitions are regularly organized across a wide range of co-curricular and extracurricular activities. These competitions provide students with opportunities to showcase their talents in areas such as poetry recitation, extempore speaking, storytelling, debate, declamation, quizzes, singing, dancing, rangoli making, drawing, and painting. In addition, inter-house tournaments are held in sports like Cricket, Football, Kho-Kho, and more. These activities encourage healthy competition, teamwork, and personal growth, while fostering a sense of pride and unity within each house.

GAMES & SPORTS

At Guru Nanak Public School, Games & Sports are an integral part of the school curriculum and are given significant emphasis. The school has consistently been in the spotlight for its achievements in the sports arena. Participation in sports is mandatory, and students take part in various competitions, including Ludhiana Sahodaya School Complex Games, State-Level Tournaments, and National Games. To support the physical development of our students, the school provides state-of-the-art facilities for a range of sports, including Basketball, Football, Volleyball, Kho-Kho, Table Tennis, and Badminton. STUDENT EXCHANGE PROGRAMME

In today’s globalized world, it is essential for students to gain exposure to diverse cultures and global perspectives. The Youth for Understanding (YFU) Programme, managed by the Department of Foreign Affairs, offers a valuable platform for cultural exchange and international learning. As part of this programme, Maria Kopp, a student from Germany, joined our school and is currently staying with a host family to experience Indian culture, education, and family life firsthand. Similarly, our students Sarabjot Singh and Jagjot Singh from Class XI (Non-Medical) had the opportunity to attend a summer course in Germany, enriching their global outlook. Through such exchanges, YFU provides students with a unique opportunity to build cross-cultural understanding, foster global friendships, and broaden their worldview.

FUN & EDUCATIONAL TRIPS

Regular picnics, outings, study trips, and educational tours are organized to give students hands-on experiences that complement their classroom learning. These trips provide valuable exposure and enhance their understanding of various subjects. Additionally, international tours are planned each year to offer students the opportunity to explore global cultures and gain broader perspectives.

The school provides transportation services for students in Mullanpur and surrounding areas. Transport charges are determined based on the distance from the school.
